The roof is one of the most costly and important structures of a home. During a roof inspection we will examine the roof covering materials (shingles/tiles), the roof structure, flashing, and gutter systems.
The HVAC system will be inspected including all furnaces, boilers, air conditioning systems, heat pump & and mini-split systems and their individual components.
We will inspect the condition of the homes plumbing system including the location of the the main water and shut off valves. We will also inspect all fixtures in sinks, tubs & showers as well as all connections and drain lines.
This part of the inspection includes the exterior walkways & driveways, the exterior doors & windows, siding, eaves and soffits, fascia, and any other necessary components of the homes exterior.
Our electrical inspections include both the interior components and the exterior components of the home's electrical systems including the service drops, service masts, grounding, outlets, GFCI protection, meters, service panels, sub-panels, circuit breakers, and more.
We make it a point to try to test and examine all major appliances like hot water heaters, washers and dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers and even microwaves.
We will fully inspect the condition of the interior of the home including the walls, floors, floor coverings, ceilings, stairways, railings, windows and doors.
We do an inspection of the condition of the foundation, crawlspaces and basements to look for signs of past water damage, foundation cracking, shifting and uncommon settling. We always thoroughly inspect every detail and report on any defect that could cause an issue for our clients in the future.
Although rarely seen, the attics condition is one of the most important parts of the home. We will inspect the attic to ensure it is all properly insulated & ventilated, we will check for mold and moisture intrusion issues, and we we will check for the presence of pests.
There are over 40 million decks in the U.S. and only half of those are code-compliant. Deck and railing failures often result in major injury or even death. We will be sure to inspect the deck or porch for proper building requirements and safety measures to ensure our clients feel safe enjoying their outdoor space from the moment they move in.
